We started Delphi Digital seven years ago because we saw crypto as the most important, interesting, and impactful technological development we’d ever encountered.
We didn’t come from backgrounds in distributed systems or cryptography, but what we lacked in experience, we made up for with obsession. As researchers by nature, we were driven by a singular focus: to understand, master, and ultimately build in a space we knew was poised to transform the world.
So we went all in. Consuming everything we could get our hands on, we moved fast, thought deeply, and built with intent. What began as a steep learning curve became a competitive edge. Research stayed at the heart of everything—and it still does.
Keeping research at our core, we seeded Delphi Ventures to back exceptional builders and launched Delphi Labs to incubate and accelerate early-stage ideas into investable businesses. This multidimensional researcher-investor-builder perspective proved invaluable, enabling our collective Hivemind to compound insight toward a single mission: to help crypto happen sooner and better than it would without us.
Seven years later, we’re proud of how far we’ve come and even more excited to see crypto well on its way to validating our original thesis and permeating every aspect of society.
At the same time, we have found ourselves increasingly nerd-sniped by another once-in-a-generation technological shift: artificial intelligence. We felt the gravitational pull of the rabbit hole again and followed our intellectual curiosity.
As our understanding deepened, it became clear that embracing AI wasn’t optional; it was critical to our future as researchers, builders, and investors. That conviction has already shown up across Delphi. We’ve applied the same multidimensional approach that served us so well in crypto. Delphi Ventures has invested in over 20 projects at the intersection of AI and crypto. We have hosted AI leaders like Stephen Wolfram on our podcast, and our research team has published the canonical research series on decentralized AI. Our Delphi Labs team has run two AI-focused accelerators, reviewing over 400 applicants and incubating multiple new projects.
Over the past few years, we’ve been planting seeds in every way we can—getting closer to a world we can’t stop thinking about. Our fascination with AI isn’t a departure from our roots, but a continuation of what’s always driven us: an obsession with understanding transformative new technologies.
